Bit of a early c40 mapei tribute coming along… interesting innicycle conversion headset fitted as I prefer the stiffness of aheadset over threaded as I intend to use this bike. Obviously different wheels but still DA set, never been overly keen on the older 32 hole shallow rim styles. Anyway

Seems like best place to ask, this isn't really a 'Nag is it? I could replace the dt if it were real but wouldn't bother if it's just decals on a dacordi.

It’s not a Colnago, they have their own Colnago branded dropouts.
It looks like a write off, scrap metal.

Unexpected bit of tinkering cropped up. Bought as a cracked frame (dropout) but after an initial scrape around of the flaking paint it seems like mostly surface corrosion 🤞 we’ll see. I’ll also be fighting with a stuck seatpost (any tips welcome!) along with what seems like a decade worth of grime!

I wouldn't be super confident in the bond between the carbon and aluminium dropouts given the level of corrosion but it should be fixable if they do come unstuck anyway

Yes that’s the one @Chellis88 I hope the woman’s husband was fully aware lol she was almost apologetic selling it to me bc of the state of it, one of these right time things…

@PhilDAS yeah I’m not sure either will get it all cleaned up and stripped down and see how much I’ll get into it. Prob also depends on how I get on with the stuck post. I have a nice old cannondale that I wanted to put a campag groupset on…
