Not sure of his name
I have chatted to that bloke on a number of occasions over the years.
That was a very moving event.
Lfgss brought a wreath, meeting ahead of the ride in lmnh (remember that place?) -

Habitual lurker rather than regular since at least 2008, although I've been on a few rides.
One I remember in particular was Rolling to the Stones where we stopped off at a pub in Virginia Water for what seemed like at least an hour and half. We were miles from our desination and it was getting quite light, I asked one of the other riders if we were going to make it: "Oh, we've never got there on time for sunrise..."
That pretty much sums up this forum. -

The book should be ready any day now....

Hahaha excellent. I regret having been a perpetual lurker and not a forum ride regular. I think I did two ever, but I may be separating the same one. An astronomy ride ending at the observatory in north London, which may or may not also have gone through brockwell park much earlier in the day?

I did meet both 50:14 and BDW, although only through the classifieds. Both were gentlemen, BDW extremely genuine and friendly and I loved my cutters T shirt to its demise. 50:14 bought a dura ace aero something or other from me with a crisp £50 note which seemed appropriate.

Probably one he'd printed that morning.

Yeah, same ride. It had an astronomical theme and we visited a house on Upper Tulse Hill, near Brockwell Park, where the first transit of Venus had been observed.

Fruitbat Tim!
not sure if anyone here remembers these couriers from the late 90s?
Andrea, american, foul mouthed , camo trousers , excellent cartoonist who went out with
Owen - long curly hair, (northern) irish - had his complete bike wrapped in camo tape (i think they got married in Las vegas) attended by my ex - sheila tequila!
Dez - dubliner, full of tats , drank special brew type beer - now T total...
Used to drink with this lot @ duke of york ( i cycled there on my bmx coming home from work in wandsworth to home in hoxton) - absolute carnage on a friday night and also at the foundry , brickies, barley mo etc...
