I'm very much on the light-roasted African coffee side of the preference scale, but that coffee is the only one that I've ever had that I just couldn't finish the bag. Even cutting it with some medium-dark roasted South American stuff was too over-powering to drink.
Turns out it is pretty punchy! I had some from another vendor, but must have been roasted quite differently. Will try blending it. I mentioned in the shop that I knew it wasn’t to everyone’s taste and he agreed, but pointed out it was on the milder end of the dark roasts. Wild.
