I need two pieces of ply with @ 30cm square but with one end curved, like the attached cutting cause I can do straight lines but not curves. Ideally top end laminate ply too. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

'laminate' is extraneous, I just meant good quality veneer.

Do 10ft sheets even exist, given that most sheets are 4x8?
-
• #39906
The image is just for the shape, dims are 30cm x 30cm. Should get two out of a normal sheet ;-)

Does this guy have the requisite skills for such construction?

Need to cut and rejoin these light circuit wires tomorrow, thought I could get a £9.99 set of crimp tool and connectors but it seems it’s all big trade sets or wago’s and as these will be boxed in I want a failsafe connection
Not sure what I need from screwfix/toolstation/B&Q without buying a whole suitcase of connectors I’m never going to use?

Wagos are lovely to use, worth the price IMHO. Put them in a Wago box with a cable tie holding it shut and it is maintenance free and can be buried.
If you don't have much slack then something like https://www.toolstation.com/wago-221-inline-lever-connector/p47972 are good. If you have a bit more slack then https://www.screwfix.com/p/wago-773-series-24a-2-way-push-wire-connector-100-pack/77102 are loads cheaper.

thanks, have loads of slack so the £11.99 option will do.
anyone want to buy 97 wago connectors?
-
• #39911
You will need 9, 3 cables each with 3 conductors. So only 91 to shift...
TLC will do you a pack of 20 but are probably further away. https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/WA102.html
Boxes too https://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/WAGOBOX.html

TLC are just down the road and will sell me 10 of the single inline connectors for £4
and 3 strain relief mounting plate for £2.70Thanks again, there’s too much choice to wade through if your not sure what’s required.

Have a look at

For a proper maintenance free connection you need a Wago box like this https://www.screwfix.com/p/wago-41a-junction-box-grey/7355F?kpid=7355F&ds_rl=1249401&gclid=Cj0KCQjwn9CgBhDjARIsAD15h0DEpqBoz3PTTgPoFsmB3aWpCTyGUuIfBbO4aRJjxC3ImrphZE2ZWn8aAppJEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
With the connectors specific to that box, there's a choice of 222 or 773 connectors. With a cable clip around the wago box.
The strain relief mounting plates are not classified as maintenance free.

Does anybody know what the black strips along the brick mortar here is?
It’s on a house we would like to offer on, so keen to know if it’s some sort of shitty mortar repair device

Looks like some sort of cavity weep vent thing. If it's only part of the wall they presumably had a problem with damp and added them.

It’s definitely this. I wondered if that gable end extension bit is a replacement for something taller? Probably not, more likely it is eg an added porch that leaked, and this resolves water running down the inside of the cavity and into that porch/bit

I would be more concerned with the missing mortar under the window cill.

• #39920
Thanks all - @mespilus yeah spotted that, there’s nothing on the other side that I spotted but the bathroom is the only thing that’s been recently done. Overall no signs of damp either, while also being a bit worn and not overly maintained so I’m hoping nothing disguised
@t.o. Based on the neighbouring houses, the extension at least didn’t replace anything taller and original

That's some pretty crappy brickwork there - Did they DIY?
-
• #39922
current owner has had it since 2017, going to ask about that whole area but I suspect it will be from the previous owner and there won't be any answers. its right at the top of our budget, but I also suspect its going to need some significant electric work too (v old looking consumer unit, most of the hardware around the house looks a bit elderly. not scary, but not recent for sure)

That pointing looks like my 5 year old Nephew's efforts when some Builders let him play with some bricks and mortar.

Is he cheap though, and does he answer emails?

Day rate is a couple of packs of Pokémon cards, pretty flakey on email tbh
Never £120k unless gold plated and fitted with a £40k kitchen.
