Can't find one with a cursory glance.

David May scored 13 goals for Blackburn/Man U/Burnley, 2 of the goals were scored in May (7th May 1995 but in the 5th minute, 5th May 1996 in the 13th minute). (According to https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/david-may/alletore/spieler/3538/saison//verein/0/liga/0/wettbewerb//pos/0/trainer_id/0/minute/0/torart/0/plus/1)

[EDIT] ^ Ha, hadn't scrolled down enough to see Ben6899's response.

Stevie May in Scotland is another possibility.

This is the kind of thing you tweet @footballcliches about and see if they can solve it.

  • A goal from half-way and penalties. What a treat.

  • Dreaded penalties.. so many chances Arsenal in extra time, brilliant goalkeeper Adán is

  • There's nothing Arsenal love more than going out in the Round of Arsenal.

  • Vieira sacked from the Palace job. Seems harsh to me, he'd done a good job in making a dull team under Hodgson more adventurous. The board, which is going through a power struggle, haven't backed him in the transfer market so he's had to make do with a fairly lightweight squad.

  • Very harsh. I wouldn't expect a team like this Palace to be consistently as good as they were last year and could have seen them having another good run in the next season the way we saw Vieira had them play.

Makes Sunday's game vs the arse interesting though, one team that should want to prove itself after costing the manager his job and another needing to come back from a mid-week setback that involved extra times and pens and two injuries...

  • If I owned Palace, any season without relegation trauma would be the limit of realisable success.

  • UEFA conspiracy to stop two Italian or English teams making it to the CL Final. I expect @cliveo to add his views shortly.

  • Quarters:

    Real Madrid v Chelsea
    Inter v Benfica
    Man City v Bayern Munich
    AC Milan v Napoli

    Semis

    AC Milan/Napoli v Inter/Benfica
    Real Madrid/Chelsea v Man City/Bayern

Never mind City. Next year's your year.

  • Looked a good young manager for a while, but found it very hard hard to arrest a slump which has seen them winless this year. They're defintely heading for the relegation scrap on current form.

  • They've only played one side below them since the World Cup. After Arsenal away they play Leicester, Southampton, Leeds, West Ham and Wolves. Their only remaining game against a top four team is Spurs, so personally I think they've got enough about them to easily avoid relegation.

I get that bringing in someone new could give them a lift, but equally it can be hard to reverse a decline. I think it depends a lot on who they bring in. Let's hope they don't appoint Hodgson again, which is being suggested in some quarters.

Yeah, I did look at their run in the other day. On paper it's easier, but in reality it's a load of other teams scrapping for their lives. They should have enough to get out of it, but it's by no means a certainty.

  • Fuck. Another Real Madrid knockout game. They’re streets ahead of us. We’ll be luck to keep it to 3 goals on aggregate.

  • Man U v Sevilla

  • We’ll be luck to keep it to 3 goals in a single half.

    Ftfy

  • Never mind City United. Next year's your year.

  • i think it cold be quite exciting but from watching the past few games they have played in big cup they just control games so well

  • Napoli must be odds on to reach the final now. You love to see it

  • Yes. Looking forward to playing them. The Zola Final.

  • We've only got Real Madrid and Bayern to play to get there.

  • Also for the most part their losses Have been by one goal. Obviously only losing by 1 goal is the same as 3 regarding points return, but I’d say they are close margins when it comes to opportunities to not lose!

Harsh in my book. The fact they are now talking with Hodgson again feels like a kick in the teeth.

No wins this year and they’re still 12th

I don’t think they’ll go down, manager change or not, but it just feel’s unnecessary.

  • Maximum spurs this afternoon.

  • Conte's press conference sounds AMAZING.
