I don’t know anything about money laundering but isn’t it made harder by selling with an uneditable inventory and hard figures? I guess if it was a physical shop he could say he’s selling loads of expensive records when not actually doing so. Or I guess he could be getting a friend to buy his record at those prices but you still can’t pay cash on discogs right?
A lot of them are Russian, so I'm saying money laundering, on the basis of not understanding how money laundering might really work here.
Or he's just looking for somewhere to catalogue his collection online and showcase his great music taste for free, without having to actually lose any of the collection.
But probably money laundering.
