  • Picked up the Atom SL hoody

How are you getting on with this? I'm looking for a mild day commuting jacket and something i can do shortish runs in. Trino SL is apparently the one but has been out of stock for ages. Squamish looks a bit weedy for commuting in.

It's brilliant. I like the skinny fit, packs small and can ride, hike or wear around the house but operating temps vary. On the bike it's nice from 2-9 C, walking 10-15C. I think it would be way too hot for running on a mild 10C+ day.

Poked Albion to make something for mild weather and got a few suggestions but have a Patagonia Houdini air that I'll try first.

Looking at the Arc'teryx site and every hoody looks identical!

  • Don't do it. The Houdini is boil in a bag.

  • Perfect thanks, seems like a good price so i've gone for it.

I heard the tip for running that you should dress for 10 degrees above the ambient temperature to counter heating up. Issue is i haven't run in a long time and will be taking dog with me so will be doing at least 10 minute walk either side to warm up and cool down so think this might work for the pace and distance i'll be covering.
