Are you sure, absolutely sure?

Make criticism in good time; don't get into the habit of criticising only after the event.

What point, if any, are you trying to make? Somewhere behind the multiple quotations you must be trying to tell us something. In English that the terminally stupid can understand, please.

Reasonably sure, in the strict, non-Glaswegian sense of the word, but I’m willing to entertain the possibility that I lack self-awareness.
I’m in favour of accepting a level of refugee migration similar to other large, wealthy, neighbouring nations, in accordance with our obligations and because it’s the right thing to do. Pretending that there’s a ‘migration crisis’ in this country is a game played by the Tories and their client journalists to stoke the culture war and distract from their manifest inadequacies.
Perhaps you could explain your own perspective, without resorting to deflection over Gary Lineker daring to have an opinion.

But most of them wouldn't know where to put the apostrophe.
Come on @hurricane_run, what is your personal position on this? I live within two miles of a favourite landing beach for the desperate, I know some of the crew of the local volunteer lifeboat. What would you do?

Being ambiguity on an internet forum is not the flex you think it is.
I mean, ambiguity.

agreeing with above post, isn’t it that we are getting a dose of your own narcissism hurricane run? everyone is trying to guess what you are saying, like you want people in your head. i have read you are right wing before, but i don’t think you mean ‘they’ are ‘illegal’, i think you are trying to show in your own way that you understand how problematic this language is, but it is difficult to just care and say that you care like others here because you still want to distinguish yourself

Man's just trolling, he doesn't like Lineker, which is fair enough, he's a rich ex footballer who's certainly not perfect, and called him out badly. The story moved on, showed that Lineker is right in this case and generally decent, and now most of football has stood behind him and is doing more to highlight hypocrisy in the BBC and the shitiness of the Tories than anyone else in recent times has, not because Lineker is better, purer or smarter than others or there's some massive scoop but because he's got a bigger platform and most people don't hate him. Now he's just amusing himself with vagueries instead of changing his mind or admitting the situation is a little more complex than his initial dislike of a football pundit.

We need the domino meme, with “2016: Terry in Thanet votes Brexit” at the small end, and “2023: MOTD is cancelled” at the big end.

Someone at the BBC read Lineker's contract: https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/gary-lineker-bbc-not-sacked-b2299040.html

The Beeb want him to be self-employed. But also want him to act like an employee. And HMRC want him taxed as an employee
