Can’t remember in the end, they were supposed to be smooth but we ended up with these ridged ones, they’ve really grown on me.
English larch. I was expecting more straw-yellow and brown tones but realise now I’ve always had Siberian larch in the workshop which looks quite different. They basically look identical to doug fir. Had to call the sawmill to confirm they’d send the right timber.
Masking tape off the joists at the end of the day. Stoaked. Loads of snagging But we’re getting there.
