Is the hub bust? Does the rim have sentimental value? Are you looking learn wheelbuilding?
If not: Sell road wheel, buy track wheel would give the least headaches.
Finding a 20-30mm carbon rear track wheel of any decent quality is like finding a needle in a haystack so I thought I'd go down the route of starting with a really good quality rim and then rebuilding.
Surely once correct hub and spokes are secured it's just then just a rebuild job?
Hi all,
I want to replace the hub on the wheel below (Vision TC24 carbon 20mm) to a fixed hub to go on a track bike.
Is this just as simple as purchasing a 24- hole track hub and then relacing or will different spokes be required too?
And as for the hub - any recommendations/suggestions on fairly light 24-hole track hubs + spokes if needed?
Thanks in advance.
