  • I'm sure it's been asked and answered many times but...

Bean to cup espresso machine, is there a default suggestion?

Or should I just get a "proper" espresso machine? (Anyone selling a Gaggia Classic?)

  • Sage Barista Express / their basic standalone plus a grinder is a good option if you can afford it. My other half who doesn’t care for coffee nerdery in any way is still able to make a latte she’s happy with, while I can faff about with dialling in/latte art etc.

  • Recently my 10 year+ gaggia bean to cup died and after months of back and forth settled on a sage barrista express impress.

It's about as close to separate espresso machine and grinder I could get without an accompanying divorce. Makes banging coffee and once dialed in I can knock out consistent coffee really quick.

I drink double espresso, americano and coconut milk flat whites.

Definitely worth a look. If you go direct to sage's website and do the chat to us they give out discount codes too. I got it cheaper direct than you can get from Currys/John Lewis etc.
