I don't think you even need fabric. Just squird some shoo goo on and move it with plastic spoon. It'll then be the protective surface. It's tough stuff.

That is my impression of shoe goo; it’s structural.

Yes. I sewed some leather shoes together and then shoegoo'd over it on the outside to act as protective surface for stitching. Worked good.

I’ve received two fines from Comune di Bergamo for a highway violation in April 2022. I paid a bunch of fines from this trip last year (no, it wasn’t a Gumball Rally).
E90 if paid within five days; E114 for next 60 days; increases by E197 if not paid within 60 days. All durations are ‘from notification’.
So, what happens if I don’t pay?

When I used to drive all across Europe for a living, I used to work under the assumption that if a foreign authority goes to the effort of actually sending you a fine, you sort of have to pay it. I got plenty of physical parking tickets that I ignored and that never came to anything but I didn't want to deal with headache of potentially getting pulled over/hassled next time I was driving in that country so paid any fines that actually came through my door. That was quite a while ago now and probably not a great idea at the time though!

I do not know if Johnson's 'oven ready deal' included reciprocal arrangements for FPNs, fixed penalty notices.
I think it used to be that the DVLA could pass EU-issued fpns onto their debt collectors. -

I think they can chase you for it in the UK. Also they may remember it at passport control when you go there in the future

Why is moussaka so gross?
-
• #116410
I never settled a disputed debt from when I lived in Switzerland, and I do wonder if I'll get pulled up the next time my passport is inspected at a Swiss border control. It was 24 years ago now, so I'm hoping the statute of limitations will mean I'm in the clear soon.

Must be because you're somehow doing it wrong, because moussaka is delicious.

I was in about year 2 of primary school at that point. Not to make you feel old or anything...

Maybe he's using egg plant instead of aubergine 😁

I don’t know about the EU but a mate got arrested going back into the US after not paying a speeding fine.
Another mate got nicked speeding on Pensylvania Avenue, didn’t pay the fine came back to the UK. He changed his surname, went back and they didn’t pick him up.
The visa form just asked you about Moral Turpitude and being a member of The Nazi Party before 1933. I had to help him fill it out . -

Both forms are in common use, the middle way of "egg-plant" less so

Citation? Having trouble finding the term in separate word form, certainly not in common usage.

I don't drive and don't have a driver's license so won't get in the predicament, but from a moral standpoint even if it hurts i'ld pay because I shouldn't be a speeding a hole. As a self identifying cyclist aka the weak party i'ld want to be on the side of the law.
Brexit might've solved it though, but I wouldn't count on it. -
• #116420
It’s not for speeding but I am an a hole
-
• #116421
Thanks I didn't realise it worked like that.

I went to Switzerland with someone who had a speeding find from 2 years before - they were stopped at the border but it was pretty straight forward just to pay it and they were let in.

They send Big Toni to put a horses head in your bed.
I spent ages looking for a thru axle for my bullitt and just gave up and bought the Hexlox one.
I use 2 locks if I'm leaving the bike for a longer periods of time but constantly having to use two locks everytime I wanted to pop into a shop because of the quick release on the front wheel was a massive pain in the arse.
