Can anyone recommend a source of decent training plans?
I’m looking to do a short-ish swimrun in the summer (and maybe a big one in autumn [Ötillö]) but can’t for the life of me find anything online -

12C in a wetsuit is too chilly for me!
You can get neoprene vests for under wetsuits, coupled with gloves, socks, hat (lomo stuff I recommend) I find this really helps when it gets proper chilly!

Can anyone suggest what would be the cheapest watch/device I could use to accurately track an indoor pool swim, don't need anything other than distance. I don't wear a watch so would only use it for swimming.

Probably a garmin swim second hand they seem to go for peanuts…

Cheers, will keep an eye out. (also open to any other suggestions)

Pretty sure basic enough fitbits can track pool swims

They’re supposed to but my wife has one and found it hit and miss for swimming. Possible user error, though.

Rather surprised to have managed to get the distance in January to keep on target for the Arctic Polar bear (the lake I swim in froze over again for more than a week). I managed 3040 metres. The required 250 metre swims were right on the limit of my ability.

Any links to places to buy training swimsuits (longer leg) for teen/small adults greatly appreciated.
Black/single colours only is the ask.
sigh. -

Something like Speedo Endurance Jammers? Available in sizes from kids age 4 to 15/16 and adult 26 to 40. Direct from Speedo or any number of other places (Wiggle, John Lewis, Sports Direct etc)
eg https://www.speedo.com/men-s-essentials-endurance-jammer-black/13101668.html
Or do you mean for women in which case something like https://www.speedo.com/women-s-eco-endurance-legsuit-black/13513709.html
available in 5-6 to 13-14 and then 28 to 46. -

Decathlon have a reasonable selection (stock dependant): https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/girls-one-piece-swimsuit-shorty-kamyleon/_/R-p-313413?mc=8577286&c=BLACK

Thanks but it's more like :
https://www.speedo.com/girl-s-fastskin-endurance-openback-kneeskin-black-purple/13892994.htmlFast skin / whatever arena version is.
My preteendaughter is at the edge of the kids sizing and heading into small adult.
While decathlon stuff is usually ok (it is for running and the cycling socks are ace) the kneeskin/faster skins don't hold up so well over 3-5 times a week sessions - buy cheap buy twice(their one piece more traditional swimsuits do though).
Are DhB any good?

buy cheap buy twice
Yep that's fair enough if you're doing a lot of swimming. Always had good mileage out of zoggs, but don't know anything about 'fastskin technology' etc.
This seems the closest zoggs match: https://www.zoggs.com/en_GB/catalog/product/view/id/20207/s/cottesloe-black-one-piece-legsuit-462561-bk/category/47/

Is something I heard already.

I know nothing about girls/ladies swimwear but my Adidas stuff has been stupidly hard wearing (not that I do anything like 3-5 times a week, more like 3-5 times a year at the moment) and is presumably more fashionable than Zoggs.
Not expensive either especially if you buy direct from Adidas where you can stack various discount codes.

Thanks, I'm just trying to pull as many different brands in as possible here.

No problem. They're good for
Black/single colours only
too. Signature block black/navy options but normally red/royal blue/other block colours too.
Just thought that when I actually used to swim I noticed that nearly all of the boys who swam seriously at LAC wore Funky Trunks for training. They do a women's range called Funkita, but they're not so good on the single colours front as the name suggests.

Yeah, I looked at those too!
They have one or two all black kits, but my daughter does not have my sense of "induce a migraine on your fellow people when you wear sports kit".

These are the ones I've got!

I see people wearing similar in the masters sessions!
I like them. But my dad bod would not. -

DhB are good, in my experience.
6.3C at Shepperton today allegedly.
Not everyone going in was in a wetsuit: https://twitter.com/sheppertonswim/status/1601512265001336835
