UK 12 inch singles at £13 is killer and imports north of £20
-

Give another year or so and it's likely to be £30-40 avg. for new releases.
Kendrick Lamar's Mr. Morale... at £35-40 ish (even on Amazon, FFS!) last year will be the new benchmark. Sadly. -
• #2004
Yup.
I'm not pre-ordering anything any more. Just can't take the risk of spending £25-35 on something less than awesome.

The most recent Tool album is £50.
2nd hand classical music - pound for pound easily the best value for money.

I have about a dozen mid 2000s albums I bought from new that I don’t listen to, and realised may be worth something - what is my easiest/quickest/highest value way of selling these on these days?
-
• #2007
I'll give you 50 dorrah. Posted. 🤪
To be fair selling quickly as a collection is not going to bring you much. Listing and grading each one on Discogs is a massive ballache but brings the best money.
List them here with an idea of condition and see if you get any serious offers.

Yeah, the grading is the annoying bit, I know what picky nerds vinyl people are. Will try on here first, ta.
-
• #2009
Try on here is best as airhead said. It may shift some and save you some grief.

You might be alienating your core audience here 🙂
Unless of course you are one and that's how you know.

I have a few more but I don't WANT to sell them and I have decided that I won't yet, maybe.

Not got too many to live with yet? What are you doing in this thread!

Just keep expanding the storage. Funnily enough a couple of hours ago I was just trying to make more space.
My wife is pretty good about it, probably because I had loads of records when we met (over 30yrs ago now) and I only stopped buying temporarily when the kids were young).
-
• #2023
I just can't give it any more space. Even if I had no new music to listen to until I die I'd have more than enough right now. As it is I'm still buying all year round.
-
• #2024
I'm sure it's an addiction.

Yeah sherlock 🤪
For real. Going into town on a Friday after work to spend 5 quid of my YTS wages on an lp.
(On a similar Middle Aged Thread tip) I also feel like I missed the moment between lps costing around £11.99 and £20+ being the norm...
