Hey @sacredhart I think actually I’ll get something like this stem and convert her existing bike. It’s an old Raleigh Richmond so should look and ride nicely with a high stem. Thanks again!

I did get an ajustable ritchey stem and swept back bars on my partners 26" stumpjumper for the same purpose, it did work well for a cost of 25£.
she cycled until the last 3 days :) -

Good job. Yeah I think that my partner will also be pleased that I am not introducing (yet) another bike to our living space :)

That’s a kind offer - thank you. I think she’ll be fine with these new high-altitude bars. First commute this week so I’ll let you know if not…

She actually loves her modified Richmond so problem solved. I dare say the new stem and bars may become a permanent fixture … thanks all - closing the thread now
This is the stem I used in case anyone is thinking of doing similar in future

As the title suggests, looking for a very upright bike for my wife to use while she’s pregnant (baby due around June). It’s getting hard for her to lean forward on her current one. Does anyone have one we could buy or maybe even just borrow for a while so she can keep riding? She’s 5”9 and we live in east London … cheers!
