The Council's preferred tree nursery doesn't stock/grow on medlar or other heritage species or varieties.
Seeking out our inner Baldric, we have a cunning plan. Many members of the RRA have large gardens. We plan to buy medlar and other fruiting trees that are (currently) undersized for a public access common, and grow them on. We hope that healthy trees will grow at least a foot a year, allowing them to join the above 9 on Ruislip Common in years to come.
