Now I really really want one.

I loved my Scooby, but I know what ChasnotRobert is on about. There were times when the car was so competent and proficient it became boring unless you were being very, very silly. Which of course I would never do.

All this chat of Subaru's has got me thinking of importing a Subaru Legacy Tuned by STI later this year. Apparently anything (petrol) Japanese from 2006 onwards is Euro 4 so would be ULEZ compliant.

Good spot!
extracts soap-box
I always found the hearse-style embellishment on the rear rather odd. Those late 60s 5th Generation T-birds are really odd from a design standpoint. They transitioned the wonderfully streamline looking 4rd Generation cars into the awful and boxy era of the 70s.
They don't straddle that line well - they are neither fish nor fowl for me. They also mark a decline in overall Ford design that still persists.
steps down from soap-box

Why not get an Impreza wagon?
-
• #73957
Because I don't live in Brentwood. Jokes aside, I find that particular vintage of Impreza with the 2.5l a bit too agricultural.

That's fair ! I'd look at 335i, I'm sure that legacy isn't in a different ball park price wise.

simultaneously totally awesome and irritating. I feel like it is lacking aggression. it's not a sleeper, but sleepy.

I have a blob eye Impreza wagon, i think it's great.

Agree with the comments that this was likely not affected by the driven wheels, but anyway what about a Mk 3 TT-S ?
Amazing interior, quite capacious, looks great (I think), probably a bit dull to drive, but jolly quick.

Had a TTS as an insurance replacement for a fortnight when a senior citizen pranged my z4 in a car park. 3 word review : competent, quick, boring. Couldn't wait to get rid of it.

The C Max lives on. One expansion tank later and it has an MOT for another year. So that's at least another year I can avoid looking on Auto Trader. Unless anyone REALLY wants a 2007 C Max.

I don’t disagree but doesn’t that basically describe the requirements as set out?

Been trawling forums, truck websites, van websites just to try and find out if there is a way of making a car ULEZ Uncompliant, compliant. Seems like the technology hasnt yet caught up on the car front, on Motorcycles theres a garage in Poplar changing the carb for the test and getting bikes through for a few hundred quid, but wondering if anyone knows of anywhere doing the same for cars?
Seems like theres places like this on Insta that will ammend your cars records from the back end, which could be the only option

I’ve always assumed this is a scam. You send them your log book, they do something nefarious.

how does that work?
i own a 320d (14 plate) which makes it euro-5 registered and not euro-6. was always wondering if there was some sort of test that could prove it would achieve euro-6 compliance

This.
Do not do that.

Yeah I mean buying anything from random faceless Insta pages is never a good idea is it. The Garage method my mate has had done & here is what he sent me:
'All bikes will pass but you have to kinda make the bike run shit to get it thru, by adjusting the carb / exhaust so that it doesn’t release too much emissions. The garage can do this but think it’s about 100 quid, so then you’d prob have to pay that again for them to put back the changes after'

This is said car that has put me in this headspace, currently carless but have a free off the road parking space at my house that is currently just occupied by my small moped, I think I just need to tell myself that this is stupid & I am just getting carried away because my work gave me a small bit of money.....maybe I spend the money on full bike licence instead, seems less of a money pit
Saw this 1968 Ford Thunderbird, love the styling of the rear lights, pure sci-fi rocket booster.
Thelma and Louise agreed as it was the convertible version of this they tried to jump over that canyon Evel Knievel style.
