  • The original cut-out date window looked very cheap to me and I remember it attracted a lot of criticism when they were unveiled. I think the frame is an improvement but they are still slightly cheap-looking watches when you put them next to the equivalent Rolex (I do still quite like the 38mm black dial one though). But of course the selling point is it’s not a Rolex. That, and the fact that you can buy one.

  • Have you seen one in the flesh?? I looked at the green too but didn't take a photo but the bezel is actually raised, rather than a step down. It actually makes the date look claustrophobic. The high polish to the bezel is distracting in my opinion as well, bad move I feel. You can't really tell on the sandstone dial as it all blends in. I also prefer the black for this reason, better contrast and legality with the hour markers. The bracelet is nice, size is great, thick enough to have some presence but not too thick. But not enough dial contrast for me, also rather an OP 36 Black for the price.

Like the Tresor line too and don't see many out and about but 40mm is too big in my opinion and price is high too.

Not up close yet. I definitely prefer that previous(ish?) generation 38mm black dial - that's a really nice everyday watch if you didn't want / couldn't be bothered trying to get an OP/DJ.

To be honest my favourite AT was the first co-axial reference (the modified ETA) with the date at 3, before they added the "decking stripes" to the dial. Came in a 36mm version too.
