  • Don’t buy tylko unless you get 25-30% discount code.
I get sent them regularly as i bought from them but not sure if i have a current one. top tip is to design something and save it then keep coming back to it and tweaking, i think this must make it look like you are on the fence with purchasing so they offer you an incentive.
(i have no idea if internet shopping works like this)

Edit. today has ‘MY25 for 25% off)

  • For powering my desk speakers (Monitor Audio Monitor 50), I use a re-housed Sonic Impact T-Amp that I threw together 20 years ago on the back of a recommendation from @Velocio on another forum. It must have cost well under £50 all in, and it still sounds incredible.

  • I have ATC scm7 on my desk.
Not much to compare to, and I am definitely not DJing, but they sound good in other positions than the ideal one.

  • Do you have a sub with them?

  • Yes. REL q150.

  • It's definitely powerful enough.
Not really needed at neighbour friendly levels, but it's a nice combo that makes me smile a lot.
The whole system is more interesting stuff available second hand at 50% off list than informed decisions. Amp is a pair of project monos, the atcs need power.

  • I'm sure they're a good option secondhand. I'd like to try an ATC system but my PMC one is working well and puts a smile on my face.

  • good shout, thanks. Edited image with some appropriate pron.

Are all the yellow sleeves from the same label?

  • They're protective sleeves from looking at the empty stack of them up against the crate in photo 2. I'd have thought anyway.

  • Took me a second to figure that out after I posted the question. Interesting approach unless you just like yellow a lot.

  • Looks like there's other colour coding with sleeves going on beyond yellow.
    Dubplates?

  • Of course JAH-tim likes yellow:

  • I was down with the mixed up colours but the all yellow has triggered something in my inner record collector.

  • I love how you have this super elaborated computer setup - but are thinking of the cats as well 🥰

  • He'd probably like my Ragley Marley

  • Thank you people
    .
The 12 inch covers are from covers 33

The 7 inch covers are from dub vendor

Hifi-wise it's rega p3 arcam cd pre and power amps bi-wired acoustic energy speakers

  • So I'm starting to lose patience trying to diagnose a problem with my current audio setup, and I'm hoping that I can try and describe it in a way that makes sense and someone knows anything I can try...

Setup is Technics SA5250 receiver, Audio Technica LPW40WN, and a set of 70's Wharfedale Linton speakers. It's earthed from turntable to receiver.

It mostly plays fine - but occasionally (and usually during quieter parts of the music? Possibly coincidental?) the sound will cut out, and at best I will hear the thud of a kick drum just trying to fight it's way through. Sometimes it'll pop back to life on it's own, but I've discovered that giving the turntable a little tap will wake it back up again. Seems like the spike of audio signal seems to bring it back to life?

I've tried two different headshells on the turntable, different cables, and a couple of different audio sources into the receiver - the issue is, it's so intermittent that it's almost impossible to consistently recreate the conditions that might be causing the problem. I think it's probably the receiver - but please, I'm open to any suggestions before I pick up a cheap receiver to try that instead.

    Thanks!

  • Maybe a loose wire or component in the phono stage?

Could you try running it through a different amp? The phono stage on your turntable is switchable, so if you could try it with an amp that has a built-in phono stage, and try the turntable in both configurations (using the amp’s phono and using the turntable’s phono), that should let you know if it’s that.

  • I returned the T9 Pro. I thought it'd calm down but I am very treble sensitive and it felt like my ear drums were being stabbed after a while .... Back to the drawing board.

  • Isn't that kind of a thing with D class?

  • You almost sold me on one. But sticking to my old integrated amps for now. Parted with the Leak too. After a week. Lolz.
