• If you are looking to lose weight, are you sure you’re doing the right things?

800g loss in 2 months is approximately a 100 calorie deficit a day.

  • I take it slowly and make it stick.
Im at the stage where quickly shifting 2kg would be painful and wouldn’t last long.

    I’m nearly 50 I’m 5kg heavier than when I was 15 I’m 12 kg lighter than when I was 35.

Generally for training I run or cycle 3-5 times a week. I’ve been throwing in strength and conditioning.

I’m only eating 3 meals a day and a couple of pieces of fruit. No refined sugar no bread or alcohol. I cook from scratch and go heavy on the varied veg.
I’m guessing portion control is my next port of call.

My tracking is more about a steady reduction and making sure I don’t go off the rails and eat all the crap and drink all the beers. You can see how quickly I can gain weight if I fuck about. I’m sure I can do more to lose weight but I’m in decent shape.

  • Fair points.

You’re very consistent in weight, and appear to eat healthily. Bearing in mind this thread is a weight loss thread, 800g lost in 2 months is as TW said is within measurement error.

For example I’m 2kg heavier today than yesterday.

Good news is that because you seem to be pretty much bang on maintenance weight/food intake and consistent in your eating habits, small changes should reduce your weight if that’s what you’re after.
