well if it gets resold we'll have to price fix together
plans for this one is to put bmx risers on it and a ks dropper , ride it round the local pump track /pub . many thoughts of yours entered my head while handwringing to buy it which eventually tipped the scale

Yes, that is going to be sweet.

Very cool. What bars in that pic? I'd like something with even more sweep on my FM.
-
• #2880
Even more sweep? I guess I've got something for you. ;-)

good move, the green of the surly looks so much better!

as for the next bike i'm enjoying the moral and emotional superiority of only having 2 of them…(DEFINATELY NOT…A SURLY 1X1)
I’m afraid we have a very terminal case of bike brain here

@Yemble I have no clue but if I had to take a guess I’d say the wide version of nitto albatross
@Josh if the current ones don’t fit on the new cockpit maybe but I’m trying to not spend too much on it other than transferable parts for a longer term project

Went to the pump track round the corner with a mate the other day, first ride of the year
Was good, fun, featured me not doing my security skewer up or tight enough in the drop out after I changed the wheel so when my pal tried it he sheered the knob right off, works for now but should replace it
Bikes nice

I have been meaning to see patches on this vest every year, had it for a decade now and it’s the perfect spring layer, old tnf soft shell gilet, friend made me some custom patches for fixing her bike, had some from friends and bike brands,
The shitty sewing is a style choice,…. Honestly 👀

Got a new gravity bike rack, mo loves it
It’s pretty hard if you have some off road bikes, not enough room from the wall, marginally less space than side by side. If you had road bikes it would be excellent, but still an L because you have road bikes and wanker wagons

Great bikes, great vest! Could you make the bikes sit a bit closer to the wall by turning the handlebars 90°? Like this. Might not be as worthwhile with racks though. Excuse the rubbish photo of my loo.

This is a good idea but I fear if I had to do this before and after riding my bike o would never ride the bike :(
-

You will just have to accept it dominating the room. Maybe put some cardboard boxes on it for the cat.
-
• #2893
Fair enough! I have to do it every single day and it's not as much of a pain in the arse as you might think. Although with the racks you're probably not going to save enough space to make it worth doing.

WHERE did you get that doomer girl patch 😵💫 I must have it

Hand made by a pal in exchange for doing some bike work, I think they take commissions I’m not sure if they make reprints

i pick up the 1x1 tommorow morning and i have orderd 9'' risers, topload stem; matching seatpost for under £50. bars will likely end up above the saddle and it will be awfully short,
Friend leant me a ks dropzone seatpost to test fit with the intent to buy if it does, but noted it might need some work done on it. testing it in the bedroom it seems as that it's "sticky" but also if you put any reasonable weight on it (certainly less than a person) it goes down without the use of the leaver.
I am assuming this will be a full service job, new cartridge, seals and rebuild down at sbc or the ike, but if anyone has one of these and can advise if i should just tighten something or if it is total write off would be nice
i lookedat the service video but did not shed any light and i did not have a belt wrench or a vice to take it to bits

Would it be quicker to just drop the front wheel and turn the bars with the forks? No tools required.
-
• #2898
That'd work too! Smart. Although my current method keeps wheels off the floor and out of the way too.

The fact you can put a bike on at any Elizabeth line station is wild
Bumped into 2 other women bringing their bikes into lifts and everyone felt it was a little taboo to be underground with one
Anyway, 1x1 has past the sniff test, rides nice

Nice!
Have been watching prices so I know when to flip mine and buy a yacht.
