Possibly because the FBI isn't famous for their expertise in either virology or epidemiology, and different bits of the US government backing different theories probably has more to do with domestic politics than it does with SARS-COV-2.

It's had plenty of coverage. We don't need to be manufacturing conspiracies of our own, here. There's no shortage.
