  • That’s really lovely.
    Did I take that photo!

  • A very dusty crystal, as I was setting the wife's C case

  • This one is at least in focus :) , only watch I wear . Would love an actual old 1016 , but not sure I could walk around with it in my wrist.
Keeping my eyes open for a 1002 in a white/ cream face ..

  • That’s incredible, love it.

  • Really nice and crisp

  • I lent this to my dad about a year ago, he snapped a strap and then it got misplaced...

Nice to get it back on my wrist!

  • Been offered this quartz HyrdoConquest for £550.
Seems to be about half the RRP and has barely been used (still has protective stickers on the clasp)

Not seen it in person (it's on evilBay) but figured I get some protection with eBay and my CC.

I have some free money coming later this month (my first ever bonus) that would cover most of the cost.

Similar money would get me a Seiko Samurai (which I have also been eyeing up) but I have a number of auto divers, I quite like the idea of a slimmer, battery powered thing that I won't have to correctly set every week when I go to wear it.

    Do I?

  • For a fancier quartz at that budget I'd go for a Bulova lunar pilot <£400

  • Lunar Pilot is certainly on my radar, but I already have a quartz chrono, and I cannot get hold of the gold 50th anniversary edition for reasonable money.

I just have a proper boner for a bi-metal watch at the moment. (and cannot afford the Tudor BB)

Might just get a two-tone bracelet for the SKX and scratch the itch for much less money.

  • I’d be buying that if I was you.
Quality piece from renowned brand, bullet proof, and if as new it’s a bargain.

  • If MrsDeth complains, I am sending her your way!

  • I’m ready.

  • Friday

  • This it's very nice!

  • Update on the Tag Heuer F1. It needs a service, so off it’s gone.

I went back to Timpson - who fitted the battery - and they have a free inspection service where the watch is sent off for assessment. They came back to me today and they can service it for £150.

I would have gone through Tag Heuer, but servicing would have been ~£500 and the watch is only worth that.

    Let’s see.
