They were both from Shapeways:
AMPro transmission brace: https://www.shapeways.com/product/G72GAY3NL/transmission-brace-for-tamiya-rc-cw01-lunchbox
Chassis brace: https://www.shapeways.com/product/E3R2ZC2JL/cw01-chassis-brace-front-lunchbox
They're both a bit spennier than they should have been, and in retrospect I could have made a stiffer chassis brace from a bit of alu, but I was getting some other stuff at the same time (and getting carried away!).
You need to remove the springs from the rear axle mount when you fix the transmission brace.
Finished my first Tamiya build after this thread brought back 80s memories. Went for a Lunchbox mainly because an older lad at school had one which looked great fun (and at the time there was no chance we could have afforded one).
Really enjoyed the process, and properly went down a rabbit hole in terms of mods: upgraded motor, 3D printed chassis and anti-slap braces, alu body mounts (oh and oil shocks arriving tomorrow).
Body isn't perfect, especially compared to some of the efforts shared here - but happy enough. Needed a lie down after the last coat of gold, three windows open clearly isn't enough ventilation!
Will probably give to the nephew eventually, but think I've got the bug. Might get something a bit more modern next.
