Thanks! Saw those as I did a round of sale threads but I highly doubt they would fit my Fuji Track Classic :( Looking for 28c mainly.

Having just done a ride through some of the rougher single track country lanes in the Surrey Hills rethinking my optimum tyre choice. Was glad of both the knobs/tread and the width (30mm) of the Schwalbe G Ones. Some bits would have been sketchy and not fun on a slicker, narrower tyre.

I’m riding to Luxembourg in April what 32mm tubed tyres should a big bloke with some luggage buy (120kg all up weight)?
-

Which route are you planning? I had a lovely four days going from Hook of Holland > Arnhem > Aachen (Vennbahn was awesome) and down to Luxembourg. PS are you dibble of Death Skateboards fame?!

Worked well for a loaded tour in Sri Lanka, with a fair mix of decent roads, potholed roads and dirt tracks.

Can't speak for your route into the country, but once you're in Lux, the bike paths and roads here are pretty good so more or less anything will be fine as long as it's not too fragile

No, me and skateboards don’t mix. No idea of the route it’s being planning by my 18 year old son who is continuing to Slovenia.
Are Continental 4 seasons really sluggish? I usually ride GP5000 in summer and Conti Grand prixGT in winter but want something wider -

Gp5000 in a 32 then? I'vr been using them through winter with no issues

I'm using Vittoria Corsas (in 30mm) at the minute and rate them. Nice and fast and only had one flat in a few hundred miles. Combined bike and rider weight is probably closer to 75kg though. You're welcome to borrow them to give them a try if you fancy?

I use 4 Seasons all year round and don’t find them sluggish.

Any suggestions for 26" MTB tyres? I've not been mountain biking since I was a teenager but my brother's recently moved to the countryside and has kindly offered me his 15 year old Scott to leave there. Main use case is trying not to stack it in the woods so I guess I want a bit of an all rounder. I've got no idea where to start.

Conti Double Fighters are good all rounders in my experience.

After some fast rolling, grippy tyres in 700X30c for my fixed commuter. Needs a decent level of puncture protection and will see plenty of wet weather riding. Do like the earlier G-one suggestion but can't find them in stock/budget and the last pair i had didn't last long. Will i be disappointed with GP5000's to meet the above criteria? Not in stock right now but Sigma doing the pair for less than £70. Alternatively Hutchinson or Vittoria?

I like my Vittorias. 1 puncture in a couple of months of commuting, fast enough and grippy! Not tried the GP5000s to compare though. You're welcome to borrow them for a week or so if you'd like to give them a go.

I am looking for similar and came here to ask if the answer was still Continental Contact Urban?
-
• #9645
Gp5000 aren't exactly commuter tires.
-
• #9646
GP5000s won't last long commuting at all
-
• #9647
tbf when i say commuter i'm talking max 4 days a week and probably no more than 60 miles a week. Bike i normally ride in dry weather has GP4000 and i've been happy with them but the slam last week has really put me off my 4 seasons as it's not the first time they've been sketchy.

Continental Contact Urban
Not seeing them in 30c, got a link?
-
• #9649
Nice, might take you up on that!

Ah apologies, I wasn't specific - I was personally after 32mm width.
Any good discounts going on anywhere? My tyres are pretty bald and I want to keep riding but not on them. Are these any good?
