I've entered this. That's sound advice - breaking almost anything into smaller chunks makes it easier to deal with. Carry snacks you like and keep eating them, don't stop and cool down too much at controls, keep pedaling, carry appropriate clothing for rain/sun and some spares for repairs. Keep pedaling.
I've always been audax-curious so (with much peer pressure from a clubmate) have signed up for this: https://www.audax.uk/event-details/8289 in a few weeks' time.
Does anyone have any advice for someone whose longest previous ride is 160k (or whatever an Imperial century is)? I've been told to ride it well within myself and treat it as four 50k rides rather than a 200k slog.
