Oh, I see. Re: Rolex, it's just the constant conversation about prices, availability and "value" that bores the absolute stuffing out of me. It's unavoidable though.

That basically defines the run up to getting one, then you just have a nice watch. Nothing different here in SG on the availability front.

Thankfully it wasn’t like that when I got mine. I tried on a bunch of sizes and colours, put a deposit down and it arrived in 6 weeks when they got their next delivery from Geneva. None of the nonsense you get now (although to be fair it was already difficult to get a Sub then).
