81.1kg > 79.1kg > 78.9kg > 77.9kg > 78.9kg > 79.8kg > 78.9kg
Not great gains, but at least moving in the right direction again. Had a funeral to attend last week and that threw me into a bit of a comfort eating funk, but that’s done now so hopefully March is my month.

Also went to an Indo-Pak charity food festival on Sunday, and ate all the things.Stretch goal to 67kg by end of 31st March.

Serious question:
Is it clothes on or clothes off when measuring yourself on the scales? -
• #356
Post dump morning weigh-in wearing just boxers.
But the general idea is to just aim for consistency. If you're wearing your favourite Spice Girls PJs each morning then do that each time.
-
• #357
Cool. Post exercise, only in cycling kit got me < 70 kg today.
-
• #358
But when a doctor asks "what do you weigh?" they'll generally mean without clothes.
100g of underwear isn't going to make a huge difference for anything, especially as hydration levels will mean a typical person varies by anything up to 2kg.

Don't know about you lot, but it has been a bit chilly recently.

That beard must be at least 1 kg
-
• #361
Also - weigh-in when I wake up, after having a pee. Nekkid, as our lord BuffDietJesus decreed.
That way hydration levels are relatively similar (assuming my kidneys are fucked).

85.5-> 81.5kg. Not been hungry, eaten more than usual, never “dieting” again.
-
• #363
When you say eaten more than usual, I'm guessing you mean volume?
-
• #364
Yeah more volume.

• #365
Well, I swam and I ran, plus I'm playing 5-a-side tonight.
DOMS tomorrow then.

If you are looking to lose weight, are you sure you’re doing the right things?
800g loss in 2 months is approximately a 100 calorie deficit a day.
-
• #369
That looks like maintenance (which is no bad thing, by any standards).
Those measurements are all well within measurement error territory.
Outside of any other metric (waist to hip ratio, for example, or caliper tests or just mirror / photo comparison), I'd be wary of drawing any conclusions at all.

I take it slowly and make it stick.
Im at the stage where quickly shifting 2kg would be painful and wouldn’t last long.I’m nearly 50 I’m 5kg heavier than when I was 15 I’m 12 kg lighter than when I was 35.
Generally for training I run or cycle 3-5 times a week. I’ve been throwing in strength and conditioning.
I’m only eating 3 meals a day and a couple of pieces of fruit. No refined sugar no bread or alcohol. I cook from scratch and go heavy on the varied veg.
I’m guessing portion control is my next port of call.My tracking is more about a steady reduction and making sure I don’t go off the rails and eat all the crap and drink all the beers. You can see how quickly I can gain weight if I fuck about. I’m sure I can do more to lose weight but I’m in decent shape.

Fair points.
You’re very consistent in weight, and appear to eat healthily. Bearing in mind this thread is a weight loss thread, 800g lost in 2 months is as TW said is within measurement error.
For example I’m 2kg heavier today than yesterday.
Good news is that because you seem to be pretty much bang on maintenance weight/food intake and consistent in your eating habits, small changes should reduce your weight if that’s what you’re after.

Sliding a bit this week, with portion control going out of the window somewhat. A bag of ugly-but-good chocolate that the other half brought home from work certainly didn't help (and neither did my lack of self-control).

Didn't weigh myself last week - but that's a fairly manic fortnight with my wife being in Singapore for a week, the end of a cold and work being exceptionally demanding. So to have more or less stayed flat is positive. I managed to run 60kish both weeks but haven't been to the gym in a fortnight which is making me :( Also looking forward to moving back home at some point in March!
