That's what I paid, I suspect it has gone up recently as I read fairly recent articles where it seemed to be around the £500 mark. They claim the punchy shipping is because the battery pack is too large (capacity) to be sent by standard courier but it is still pretty pricey.
I ummed and ahhed a fair bit with it being more than I expected but it still seemed a cheaper and more flexible option than getting a dedicated electric bike.
