They do shift great. Just yes, the object-catchy / leg-stabby / planning a gear in advance on sketchy surfaces things are obvious drawbacks
On the plus side when I binned it the other day, the shifter was kinda like a car bumper, so nothing else really got damaged
I have an 11sp shimano MTB Microshift bar-end going spare (also think I have the left 2/3x one also). Can throw in a Deore XT RD-M8000 if interested.
Was really surprised they work so well, but as our bikes are stored in the hallway, it was always getting caught on something passing by.
