• I think I’ve settled on layout and tried to find homes for everything. Am I missing anything? Please feel free to critique my life choices. The fact I won’t have a wine fridge in this kitchen is pretty upsetting but such is life…

NB I don’t have a toaster and kettle looks like it will be living on the worktop…

  • I like the single-face to the wall drawer units. Why are you choosing not to do these to the island which would be cleaner looking than the 9x drawer fronts/routed handles.

What’s going on to the square end of the island unit? You can get pretty narrow wine fridges (300mm) which might fit in this area if this is a serious want.

Also, no extractor above the hob?! U mad bro?

Looking good though and have been enjoying your updates!

  • Will you have electrical sockets on the island for a stick blender, food processor etc? Also a lip on the work surface to hold your pasta machine in place may be handy. In my old kitchen I had to open a drawer to fix mine in place, pretty annoying.

  • Looks fantastic, but not tempted to have the hob in the island? Makes cooking more sociable than doing it away in the corner.

You also need a plug socket in the island somewhere for impromptu laptop working. Also an integrated flush wireless Qi phone charger somewhere?

  • at a glance:
    no drainage board
    no plugs on island
    no extractor fan
island is flat one end and round the other
knives and cutlery are stored separately
nothing on the wall above the main area (art?)
pots and pans require bending over or crouching down to get

  • Where is the prep space meant to be? If to right of hob, is there enough space to the sink (so that someone could use it without getting in the way, or leave some pans there)? If on island, will you be rotating to wash hands/go to hob too often? Relatedly, where do you serve up from?

  • Bigger bin, that’ll fill up very quickly.

  • Your tupperware and misc drawer needs to be about 5 times bigger.

Also the cupboard for awkwardly sized kid stuff that won't stack anywhere.

  • Are those images from the architects?
They sure as hell take designing a kitchen very seriously.
The middle element of the lower wall element is a dishwasher?

Rounded edge of island looks beautiful.
Is the space inside accessable and how?
And yes, I will add to the comments that you will quite soon regret not getting overhead cupboards.
