It's an Ikea lampshade. It's quite funky, but a nightmare to clean. I have to take it down every few months and clean it with a cobweb duster and a hoover.

Thanks! Bottom two rows are all og minifigs from my childhood along with the baseplate. Top two rows are new / recent purchases.

Makes me smile every time I walk past it up the stairs.

Awesome. The monorail and raised base above the craters are such great touches. Love it.

I have bits of box too - the ones with alternate builds on them. I loved reverse engineering them - Lego sets these days....pffft!

We had this! Need to pester my mum about where all the non-specifically-owned Lego went.

Seems like some, erm, creatures took a wrong turn somewhere. I think they saw the sign for mine shaft and thought it was Minecraft.

That takes me back in time! Never had any sets myself but I remember going to an aquarium and they had a massive display underwater of these sets.

If you’ve got the box, they’re worth some serious cash these days.

I had a guy buy some pirate lego off me, 6274, solely for the box. He already had the set, just wanted my box as it was better than the one he had (and included all the og leaflets, and a receipt I think).

He said he had a storage locker somewhere where he held his collection, all boxed up and on shelves.

I still remember the feeling of intense anticipation and excitement before getting this set as a special treat at the end of a school year, I must have been about six. Good memories! Sadly not sure where it is now :(

Love those old stamped baseplates too. They don't make anything like that any more.
