Reliable bike workshop/mechanic around Tufnell park area

Hi,
A friend of mine is having some troubles finding a good and reliable bike mechanic around Tufnell Park area. Any suggestion please?
He is a NHS worker with a very humble Pinnacle commuter bike.
Main troubles are related to derailleurs/shifting sites.

Yes lunar. He probably tried the shop north of kentish town, they are terrible.

Can’t disclose where he have been but 2 shops around that area literally charged him lot for nuts components and bike still have issue.

Again, NHS people who uses bike to go to
work. Bloody hell

My guess one of them will be just mentioned before 'bike house' on highgate road/fortess rd junction.
Worst shop ever.

Another vote for Clever Mike. Bit further north but still close-ish I’ve also had good experiences with K’s on Archway road up towards Highgate Tube.

Never been into Bike House. Didn't realise it had quite the reputation!

Potential victim blaming aside, reviews like that are tricky because the customer doesn’t come across as bike savvy, and therefore their understanding of events is questionable.

Fully agree. It's a minefield... other reviews are similar in this case though!

Yeah it’s pretty clear that’s a shop to avoid.
