Got some nice comfortable old school leather shoes from eBay recently, they accept 3 bolt cleats so work with all my current bikes. Love the lightening bolts on these GG Duegi's, like Billy Whizz's shoes from the Beano, I can pretend I'm an amphetamine charged cyclist of the past.
And some old Vittoria's.
Which came in the original box which is cool in its own right.
On the sides are two Panini sticker style pics of Vittoria sponsored World Champion riders Stephen Roche and Maurizio Fondriest.

No I didn't see that, very nice, would have been interested pending size and price info. I can't seem to find it on my eBay search just now, so assume it's gone already, bah!

These have taken literally years to acquire via regular ebay scanning, but I got a couple more bits of Team Panasonic kit to match my Merckx.
Already had these from back on page 1...
All the way from Switzerland I managed to get an original cap, the one on the right. The one on the left is a modern repro, notice in addition to the obvious fading on the repro, the font is slightly different and the strip of blue is a different width.
And arriving this week, found some NOS original gloves.
Nearly have the full kit. My googling isn't bringing up anything, but did they do Team Panasonic shorts does anyone know? I'm not on Twitter but if anyone can ask Pippa York if she's got some old Team Panasonic socks or shorts she's not using kicking about the house, I'd love to give them a new home :) -

Anyone good at recognising famous TDF mountains/climbs from their profiles?
I recently acquired my 2nd Mario Schifano jersey to go with the one on page 1, this time the KOM one. Each of the polka dots has a mountain profile in it, though there are only 5 individual ones that are repeated across the jersey. Schifano is an Italian artist who was asked to do a series of jerseys for the 1989 TDF, so I'm guessing these climbs featured in the race that year, and I'm guessing again that there are some from the Alps and some from the Pyrenees, but don't know for sure.
Here's a close up, obviously the top left one and the bottom left one are the same mountain, the two middle ones look very similar but are actually slightly different, so 5 different climbs.
I've just had a look on wikipedia for the 1989 route, and from there a summary of the mountain stages for that year included:
Pyrenees - Stage 9 from Pau to Cauterets which included the ascent of the Col d'Aubisque and a descent of the Col de Marie-Blanque
Stage 10 ended at Superbagneres and included the climb of the Col de Tourmalet
Alps 5 stages- Stage 15 was an individual time trial to the ski station of Orcières-Merlette, but doesn't mention any specific climbs so not sure if there was any classics in it.
Stage 16 was from Gap to Briancon and featured the climbs of the Col de Vars and the Col d'Izoard
Stage 17 finished at Alpe d'Heuz but also included the Col du Galibier and the Col de la Croix de Fer.
Stage 18 was to Villard-de-Lans which included the Côte de Saint-Nizier climb
Stage 19 finished in Aix-les-Bains and included the climb of the Col de Porte and the final climb of the day was Col du Granier.Anyone able to match any of the above with any of the profiles on the jersey? If so which is which? Thanks in advance to any folks in the know.

Nobody recognised any of the mountain profiles from the above post then, bah.
I was in need of some rowdy coloured shoes go with rowdy coloured bike....
...so have just got some vintage Adidas Vuelta's that fit the bill nicely.
And also got this recently which makes me feel like Evel Knievel.

More lovely retro kit I've got my grubby mitts on over recent months.
Wool Tommasini jersey for riding my pink Tommasini.
I've been on the look out for a Somec jersey since I bought that bike a few months ago, but no luck. I have seen some modern ones with the newer logo, I think @anidel has one, but I'm really after one with the older style logo and the only one I've ever seen is the one @MrSavevski posted on the Somc thread, seen here: https://i.imgur.com/KoB0O1p.jpg
If anyone ever sees one like that in large or extra large please let me know. Also recently got some more classic Vittoria cycle shoes in excellent condition.
And just in from Italy, a cool old wool Cinelli jersey.
And though not technically a cycling jacket as its got no pockets, so is more of a tracksuit top, I am absolutely loving this super cool Cinelli/Columbus top in a colour scheme best described as grandad's slacks from the 70's.

I had mitts Somec branded which are now almost in pieces. Can't recall a Jersey, but probably yes 😅

I found your jersey this one....though it was 6 years ago so understandable its not fresh in the memory :)
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/13430527/And cool to know there's Somec gloves out there, don't think I've even seen a Somec cap.

Ah yes.
Worrying that you know my wardrobe better than me! 😂
Haven't worn that in a while.

Not sure who wore this jersey, as it was a gift to me. Other than finding out you can rent bikes on Belle-ile France, I don't know much about the name printed on this shirt. Is anyone familiar with this bike club or bike route? I'm planning on selling it on Ebay or Etsy. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the correction on the Team Panasonic kit, as I'd always thought the Raleigh's were after the Merckx's. And nice to know the kit I've got is quite rare.
Yeah the Domo kit was a just a cheapy reproduction not an original. Thanks as always for the Merckx info Jacek, I look forward to a comprehensive post here or over on Bikeforums.net soon detailing every type of conceivable Merckx kit ever ;)
