  • No worries. Post the results here!

  • Will do!

Have ordered a selection of film from Analogue Wonderland (way too easy to spent too much money on there). I got some lower ISO film as well as I’m of cycling around Tenerife next month and presume that’ll be better for sunny conditions?

  • I found 3 rolls of this, expiry date is 07-2012... Is it still worth trying, it hasn't been kept in the fridge.

  • Unless is got unusually hot or something it should be fine. Just give a stop or two more light and process normally.

  • Did you manage to sell this? I also have one in a similar condition and I wondered what the going price is.

  • Definitely worth shooting, this is my favourite black and white film. As said above shoot an extra stop or 2, might be a touch grainier but it’s particularly fine film so won’t be too noticeable.

  • The C220? Nah it never sold, I never really pushed hard to sell it though as I’m happy to keep it, just thought it would be a cool way for someone to try analogue photography. I think they usually sell for around £250

  • Fuji Silvi + Fuji Acros 100

  • Finally scanned some film I shot with a Agfa Isola 8 years ago, not the most interesting pictures but messing around with it got me excited about shooting film again.

  • Where is a good place to buy reasonably priced film these days? Online or in London
    Does it exist?

  • Honestly no, im paying £80 odd quid a box of 400 portra now.

  • I’m shooting about 1/10th of the amount I was a few years ago because of the cost. Occasionally get deals on the triple packs of Kodak colour an analogue wonderland surprisingly but considering it used to be about £2 a roll I’d say GOOD deals don’t exist. Nik&trick used to do good multipack deals, think there’s a list of film supplies websites maybe even on this thread that’s worth scouring. Can almost never get a good deal in actual stores.

  • I have best luck at random mainstream places like Jessops and LCE flogging short-dated 120 for £20-40 per propack. Pop yer head in and ask.

For 35mm c41 … I have no idea. Kodak price-gouging is setting the sweet tone(s).

  • I had a solargraph (solarcan brand) up for the last year, facing south capturing the path of the sun. Took it down last week after exactly 365 days, expecting nothing, but got this:

  • amazing

  • That's cool. Would make a good gift.

How did you get the film developed?

  • This is brilliant!

  • In the email newsletter Speed Graphic send out they mention some details on the upcoming price rises in the cost of film. Another price rise for Kodak - most professional films will cost more than £20. Ilford up 10%. Foma up 10%. It's probably worth buying stocks asap..... or swapping to digital haha.

  • For ppl trying to keep 35mm costs reasonable…

Imaging Warehouse have stock of 30.5m rolls of Rollei Retro 400s for £55.

  • Cheers, I'm pretty surprised with the amount of detail!
No developing needed, just cut open the can in a dark(ish) room, and took a photo of the exposed paper. It's quite low sensitivity so there's time to handle it. After taking a few photos it did fade to black eventually, so I just have the digital version which I'm going to get printed.

The negative is a brownish tone where it's exposed, and colour-inverted and a bit of sharpening and contrast gets that image. Already ordered another to put up somewhere.

  • Portra shouldn't be going up by that much its 6% meant to be.
