Yeah I’m not saying there’s been no trace of plaques on the new tats at all(generally a few spots appearing a week or two after it appears completely healed) but not like the whole tat is flaring up. I just take much longer to heal than previously. The plaques appear to be in a much higher level than the ink so once it’s settled there’s thus far been no damage to the tattoo.
I’ve got some older tats on my ankle which are suffering this year as it’s where most of my flare ups have been concentrated but that’s not related to the tat I’d say. -

Can someone recommend a clinic in London area for psoriasis treatment?
The creams aren’t cutting it any more and my gp really doesn’t seem interested… -

I’m waiting to take part in an inpatient trial for a new medication. Had some dental work that needed to be dealt with first just in case of complications.
The requirements for the trial were fairly narrow field and I happened to fit the bill perfectly(low bmi, never taken steroid treatment and a few other random quirks). Amazingly was contacted out the blue by my gp who I’ve never met and was put forward.Been using coconut oil and a coal tar product called SkinStuff over this winter. Far superior to my current prescription.
Not been the worst winter in terms of severity but the desire to scratch is overwhelming at times and goes hand in hand with my ocd behaviours so not done myself any favours.Hopefully will be on the trial some point in April/May.

I get psoriasis guttate. I had a particularly savage outbreak and was trying a few things to sort it. Nothing really helped but I read UV helps, I went to the beach and ended up falling asleep, woke up with a touch of sunburn. A few days later I scrubbed the dead skin off and the plaques came off with it and didn't come back for years. Not that I'm recommending getting sunburn but I have found my plaques significantly lighten and get less crusty with long exposure to sunlight

Yeah, we went to Australia for 2 weeks just before covid in the middle of winter(when I’m at my worst).
Was clear for a long long time after that.
Need to start budgeting for a trip to a nudie beach in the Canaries or similar every 6 months or so.As I’m heavily tattooed I can’t do targeted phototherapy as will fuck my collection. A derm consultant said for me it would do more damage than I’d gain but natural sun(with spf obviously) definitely helps.

I'm on protopic, a steroid cream for when it gets really bad. Doc won't let me do UV treatment yet as I'm not severe enough. Protopic works v short term so need to find another option...

Betnovate is the cream I’m prescribed. I don’t use it as works out far more expensive than coal tar, doesn’t work as well and fucks all clothes sheets.

I've had great success using Enstilar foam spray. Nothing else works, but this clears flare ups quickly and seems to keep them at bay for weeks or months at a time

Steroid creams fuck me right off.
I'm posting in here, because I've got some shit going on with my face. I think (want to believe) it's because I've been stressed, eating shit (white bread/bread), drinking a bit.
Which you know. Probably is not great.I'm on methotrexate injections once a week, plus benapli once a week. Sometimes though (because of above) doses get stretched from every 7 to every 10 plus days. ANYWAY.
I don't recommend injections as they way forward.
UV for psoriasis is amazing.
I'll see if I can grab some of that skin stuff tonight/this weekend. -

Thanks!

Worth signing up to the mailing list or whatever else. The big pots like £50 at full price but there’s almost always voucher codes knocking around to knock 20-30% off.

That’s worth knowing. Thank you.
I don't think that your result will apply to mine: what I meant was it's great that your tattoos haven't flared up.
