It is extremely time consuming and expensive in the long run to have it just as a hobby. But it is soooo much fun and brings endless joy both in the making process but also riding around on or with the bikes afterwards.
If I was to start over again I would attempt to find a couple of like minded and start out together both sharing the expenses but also learn with and from eachother. I started out with
my best mate and that was very helpful, but he only stuck around for a year. But three og four in a collective would probably have been even better.And thank you

Gorgeous work. I wish I could build myself and my friends some bikes. Seems to me like a priceless skill to have. I hope I get into doing something like it one day.
