Not the biggest shoreditch fan, pubs around Liverpool Street or North towards Dalston are better, and plenty of them.

Owl and Pussycat is generally my go to round there, it's ok but has been fairly hipstered over the years.
There's the Barley Mow if you're looking for more of a proper pub.
