I was out in SF for a week during that series of storms, and just kept extending my stay. It was in the 60s there and everyone was wearing puffy coats and I’m running around in shorts and Ts.

Was it as bad as I’ve read? I saw that Mt Washington was -108f with windchill. Like holy shit.

We had to bring the goats and chickens into the basement and the bunnies are sleeping in front of the fireplace.

I went out to cut up a downed tree, I’ve been doing it in 15 min increments due to my hands going numb.

Yeah that’s insane, we usually get more cold than snow, places east and west tend to get more than us.

So we’re almost there, I’m thinking of swapping the seatpost collar and headset for orange Wolf Tooth ones, and using the silver WI for another incoming project.

The stem is temp for fitting and will prob be replaced by a Ti jobber.

nice! is this the newest version that takes 55mm tyres?

It’s a NOS 2016, reportedly 38 in the rear 35 in the front. It actually clears 42s with gobs of space.

i was on the verge of getting one in 56 couple of times, but the conservative clearance and the fact that’d i’d really need a 58 always got me into my senses.

have you ever measured the inner stay width at the effective spot? or how much more it feels like it can take? there seems to be quite a many of these going in the us.

Dropping into what is my favorite thread on this site with this little ripper — third hand (at least) Geekhouse from I believe 2010.

Particularly excited about the threadless NJS stem and itty bitty chainring. Can’t wait to get it off road, might have a custom frame bag made to really maximize the silliness.
