  • I understand your point. Rapha in its hayday was pretty unbeatable. The way they started to drop quality and service after acquisition was a sad day for a fan boy like me. I would have loved to wear Rapha for the rest of my life. I understand the need to find growth, but the new designs (Palace), new market segments (mtb) and overall attitude ruined the brand many loved.

    PS. Chinarellos are pretty lame, but open source carbon frames are awesome.

    I don't own much rapha, but the windproof long sleeve MTB top is excellent. Lovely fit. Only second to the Rando shorts IMO. (if they still do them).

  • I don't doubt it and will take your word for it. I just buy my MTB and gravel gear from brands that specialize in that specific area. I see no possible benefit in ruining the strong brand with conflicting messages.
