If going disk brake then it everything is more standardised, just not Brompton standards. The Kinetics kit for example has standard 100mm front and 135mm rear qr spacing so can pretty much use any hub. I’ve got alfine 8s test and JTek Dynamo front on mine, but could use any normal SON/Shimano/SP hub that you’d use on a “normal” bike. Re cost adds about £1k over stock Brompton as you essentially need to buy both, @sbbohr did mine whilst at SJS and some parts could be sold back to reduce the cost so might be worth asking for complete build costs vs parts. Think he’s gone solo no at bromptonman.com

also I think I read somewhere that hydro braking is toooo good and hard to modulate on small wheels.
this has made me want disc brakes on mine ... what was approx spend? and I'm assuming tricky to have front dynamo too?
