That’s a feature, not a bug

At the risk of stating the bleeding obvious -
Not all cotton is the same. Not all stitching is the same. Not all manufacturing in China is the same. Not all zips, buttons, trims and other detailing are the same.
Two pairs of far east manufactured cargo pants can very easily cost $5 or $40 as a base cost even before factoring in volume.
You are, I'm afraid, talking out of your arse. -

Well, I, for one, am shocked at this revelation.

So just to confirm, you're upset with the political and ethical leanings of *apha players, but your best suggested alternative is P*imark because of price point?
It's ok, emotions are hard. -

needed a shit, go to Primark
csb, in city center mcr one day my daughter announced she needed one urgently so we dived into Primark we were right next to and headed straight to store cafe to use theirs, refused by staff even when I said i'd buy a cup of tea after to be a customer. No doorcode, no poop. Inhumane. Rapha.cc in mcr have never refused a toilet visit regardless of spend.
[eocsb] staff on the sales floor rescued us and found us a different toilet to use, it was a very close call.[/eocsb]

Guy at work has the trousers in question. He does like to spend money on STRTWR as is 24, so maybe trousers just aren't aimed at the centrist dad market.

I mean, it’s clear as day that *apha is part of the Walton brothers’ secret plan to manipulate world politics for their own profit.
I mean, the fact that they donated to the Bushes but also to anti-Trump republican groups makes it clear that their agenda is to keep Neo-Con warmongers in the White House - and by extension, keep US soldiers in the Middle East. As we all know, war in the Middle East drives up the price of oil - which makes cycling more attractive as an alternative and so drives up demand for *a**a products.
But to maintain their high profit margins, the Waltons cannot allow the western market to go low-cost and functional like cycling is in China. And so they are inexorably buying up all the low cost Chinese garment output that could possibly be used for cycling, rebranding it as Ra**a and pricing it in line with their technical clothing so that there are no cheaper alternatives available.
It’s also considering the investments that the Waltons have made through their investment arm in the gain-of-function research that was at the heart of the plandemic - another key part of their nefarious plan to force people to ride bikes. You see it’s….

Yes. Nice, and not that pricey, but I can't comment on their toilets facilities I'm afraid...

• #37665
I can't comment on the toilets
pls dont bring up brands that dont offer this consumer experience
-
• #37666
Why not? Surely the experience (or not) is part of the brand enjoyment...

Yes I have a lovely black and yellow Torm cycling jersey (my bumblebee top, I'd like to think wasp but, there's reality).
Really well made and comfortable. -

Torm …who ordered a full size-set of a jersey style, copied them, added an extra armband, and returned the lot for full refund. Then had the naivety to come on here and complain that Rapha were the bad guys. Ok.
In my time at Rapha I worked hard designing, developing, and perfecting products, sourcing, wear-testing, and selecting materials, with an amazing team. It boiled my head when I’d hear comments about cheapo brands saying ‘it’s the same factory and fabric as Rapha, just without the markup’ or ‘Rapha is all outsourced to a remote service and they hoover up the profit’. Having visited factories, seen the extent of testing, attention to detail, and customer support (good luck getting your £11 trews repaired after a crash!) and you honestly think Primark and Rapha are the comparable, I have a lovely frameset from the same mould Pinarello use to sell you…

I understand your point. Rapha in its hayday was pretty unbeatable. The way they started to drop quality and service after acquisition was a sad day for a fan boy like me. I would have loved to wear Rapha for the rest of my life. I understand the need to find growth, but the new designs (Palace), new market segments (mtb) and overall attitude ruined the brand many loved.
PS. Chinarellos are pretty lame, but open source carbon frames are awesome.

I don't own much rapha, but the windproof long sleeve MTB top is excellent. Lovely fit. Only second to the Rando shorts IMO. (if they still do them).
as a cyclist if you are in Soho and needed a shit, go to Primark and see ehat the experience is like vs in Rapha with all the free Aesop
