Having dynamo lighting is absolutely awesome. It might initially seem less powerful than a mega-lumens battery job, but it's focused where it needs to be and is plenty bright/strong enough for being seen. Son Edelux II is great, and I think the B&M is very good too (a few models to choose from - they nearly all do have a standlight but you definitely want a standlight). Took me a while to hook up a rear dynamo light, wish I'd done it ages ago.
The Edelux II and I'm sure other models can be switched to light sensor mode, so they aren't on in daylight, but come on when light levels get low, i.e. tunnels, dusk, night time.
Wheel wise: Son front, hope rear, velocity cliff hanger rims, sapim race spokes, brass nipples, 32H I believe
Tyres - not sure what to get. Looking for 700 x 45 or 700 x 50 tan wall that will be good mainly off road
Also front dynamo light not sure what to get. Not had dynamo before. Pencilled in a Busch and Muller one but I am not sold on a light being on the whole time (appreciate it is being powered anyway so it is harmless). Other option talked about so far is the son edelux 2.
No internal routing for a rear light. Can fit one anyway - maybe later
