  • It turns out after checking with the Brooks website on adjustment of their saddles, this one has never been tightened. I wasn't sure whether it had or not, my motivation was simply to have comfy saddle for my Moser mtb which I figured this would give me slack or not. So anyway, I started to try to adjust it, but the threaded pin just turned. After gently gripping the pin with some Mole grips I started turning the nut to get some tension in it, the pin now locking into place in the steel nose of the saddle, but standard open ended spanners couldn't turn the nut properly, you need the Brooks adjustment tool to do this, but I figured that my angle grinder could solve it by cutting a slot in an old 14mm ring spanner. It took some work, but the saddle is now adjusting nicely. Top deal from Jome, hopefully many comfy rides ahead.
