Gold club is middle middle with pretensions of more. Superannuated ‘loadsamoney’ types left over from the Thatcher years who softened the Estuary accents when they wanted to get the kids into the local private school.
Sounds like lower middle to me. And trust me, the acoustics are awfully good from up here.
