  • Our school uniform seems to be a constant cycle of lose it in the playground and buy the next size up at the unclaimed lost property uniform sale. Despite checking lost property pretty regularly none of the lost (named) jumpers ever turn up. At least it's only 50p a top this way.

  • Mr Scruff, Thievery Corporation, Quantic and Lamb or any of that 00’s Big Chill noncery

DEAD to me. Love the triphop thing. I used to pretend I had a personality whilst smoking shitloads of skunk to this music.

Love you though J so I respect your opinion BUT YOU ARE SO FUCKING WRONG

  • He he he!

    Limmy said it best

    https://youtu.be/G13uarFbxFw

  • Hahaa limmy’s observations are so subtle. The cod reggae in that

  • Bullying and classism is worse here because we are an incredibly spiteful, classist and all-round cunty country.

Social mobility is marginally (by a very small amount) better in the U.S. than the U.K. and worse by a rather bigger margin than most of Europe. They have class distinctions as much as anywhere, just a cultural myth that says different - one that's as much a lie as the myths that fuel their worship of guns. Probably the main reason Trump has the following he does.

  • Elbow.

I really enjoy the space vacated by Jarvis Cocker that Guy Garvie inhabits of a Sunday pm on 6 Music but Elbow. No thanks.

  • Never got it.

    We’ve all been there

TBF, I’m a Novid (yeesh) too

  • Covid.

Never got it. I think I'm the only person I know who didn't.

    Me neither

  • Elbow

    Mega wank shite trash

  • @itsbruce All great points. I've never 'got' the American school system either, apparently.

  • Elbow

More like Elblow, cuz they suck.

  • I stood next to Mr and Mrs Guy Garvey on the tube once. Big guy. Much presence. I felt all kinds of inferior.

  • I used to see him knocking around a fair bit, likes to drink in the temple on Oxford road, I think that's what his "there's a hole in my neighborhood down which of late I cannot help but fall" lyrics are about, because it's in a old underground Victorian public toilet, good bar, don't mind the band.

  • The sound of returning an overdue library book on a wet Wednesday afternoon

  • Never got the hate for Elbow.

    Lovely band.

  • As dull as a wet day at Ludlow. Garvey is a crushing bore. Like a stale pint of Boddingtons melting into a half empty ashtray at 2pm on a Tuesday

  • That just made me really nostalgic for the year I worked in libraries. Sometimes a returned book was the most exciting thing to happen all day.

  • Elbow are bollocks
Just Take That for people who have 3 kinds of gin

  • You guys are thinking of arse, not elbow.

  • Just to add.. Cocker is another stale pint.

  • Is tha still going?
It was niche when I lived the years ago.

Pretty sure I used to get smashed in big hands and he’d be there. Or some of the band were. Ah big hands.

  • Still going. I used to go hands more often, properly messy nights but I've not been for a while. I've had a few beers a temple recently but don't think I've been to hands since lockdown. Scott the owner died a few years ago, he was fucking mad. My favourite big hands memories were the trailer park boys refusing to sign my dick and repeatedly singing goldfinger songs to the less then Jake bassest at the bar because he was with a girl that was waay too young for him.
