Thank fuck for the immutable law of the ex.

Not got a dog in this fight but enjoyable seeing Martinez with the OG. Guy really is a prize bellend.
-
• #164654
Martinez wasting 9 minutes, getting booked, only to end up scoring the winner..
lmao..

Newcastle falling to pieces.
-
• #164656
Madness. Does this mean Newcastle have to play their 3rd keeper in the final next week?
-
• #164657
Think so. Assume Dubravka is cup tied.
Insane decision from Pope.
-
• #164658
That's wild if so!
I guess it was just muscle memory from Pope. Hectic match.
-
• #164659
More wild that Dubravka would get a winners medal if United beat Newcastle.
-

FFS Chelsea. Spent a billion quid and can’t beat Southampton. Guarantee they’ll have got it together for the game against us. And to a lesser extent ffs wolves.

Liverpool back on the juice?

• #164662
As much as I dislike Azpilicueta, I wish him a full recovery. That head injury :(
-
• #164663
City aren't all that.
-
• #164664
What’s there to dislike about Azpilicueta?
-
• #164665
Potter: "Credit to Southampton, they mixed the game up well"
Yikes.
-
• #164666
after such a poor 2023 that 4th place position isn't looking too far away, not sure how that's happened
champions league is a must if we're gonna revamp our midfield this summer

What’s there to dislike about Azpilicueta?
I don’t doubt he is a decent bloke and much accomplished. He just plays for a rival team. Anyway, hopefully no long term issues following yesterday’s incident.
Edit, from FA Rule 12
Playing in a dangerous manner is any action that, while trying to play the ball, threatens injury to someone (including the player themself) and includes preventing a nearby opponent from playing the ball for fear of injury.
A scissors or bicycle kick is permissible provided that it is not dangerous to an opponent.
so why was it not a red card, yesterday??

• #164669
Still touch and go for Liverpool getting in the top four. Newcastle had a nightmare yesterday and still could have scored 3-4 from open play with 10 men. Any team with pace who know how to exploit the space behind your fullbacks will cause you trouble.

Villas second against Arsenal yesterday was an absolute peach. Lovely bit of footy.

Now you got me wondering…

Was trying to post a gif of the Martinez own goal from yesterday, but couldn't get it to work.
Now that was a peach.

• #164674
Fuck off Andy.

Did VAR also mess up in the Palace match that weekend? Drew the offside line to the wrong defender?
Not seen it mentioned if that ref was reprimanded too?
