Rapha have a target profit margin on every item, same as every other brand.
They price their products to hit this margin. There is never a product that they buy for £5 and sell for £165. It’s not good business, they’re not supreme and they would sell more if it was cheaper.
If the price is £165 it has cost them the same X% as every other one of their products to make.
Primark will have the same although they will be happy with a tiny margin on huge quantities of low quality shit.

If the big P can do cargos for £11 why would Rapha's production costs be so different?
As someone who's laughed at the faux heritage and second wave materials of the range since the beginning I think that the cargo trousers really sum up the age we live in. R***** have always just been a lifestyle brand. Now that the original owners have cashed in, the race to the bottom begins.
