Let’s see what happens. Ta.

I seem to recall someone saying here that London Green Cycles either don't check or take ages to reply to emails? Is it best to call them?

Lovely work

Not always the best from my experience. I used to email and call just to make sure they got my email. In fairness we have a Douze so any bike related issue was normally them waiting to hear from Douze. I did end up contacting Douze direct at times too.

They've been good at getting back to me via email when I booked my service.
2 working days from memory.

Actually I regret falling ill the day after it was delivered, so haven’t had a chance to do anything other than buzz it around the local park quickly. Got some time tonight to fit the pannier bags and the kid corral, and then I will spend some time at work tomorrow finally ordering the bafang. Might try to get a half decent photo at some point too.
Will have to roll on the ridiculous fat bike tires until I can justify spending even more money on a slightly more sensible 29er wheelset.

Fucking hell, what a beast!

so good, in the ad, the seatpost was mad long; felt it was too small, doesent look it though
bafang?

• #11087
Yeah, dude I bought it off was like 6’ 3” or something, so definitely too small for him. Technically I think I’d be better off with a medium, but it’s a fairly normal surly geo so it’s long enough for it to not matter - I’ll just keep the long stem on it. Seatpost is crazy long, needs to come down a little bit for me but it’s not too bad as currently set.
Bafang for sure. Need a 100mm bb, so it’s either 750w or 1000w. Leaning 750w as it will save a bit of cash on what was already an out of budget purchase but part of me wonders if maybe I should just go big or go home.
Only annoyance is that I can’t get my 24 pack rack to fit, so I’ll need to get a different front rack. But given the reputation of that rack anyway, maybe there’s not such a bad thing.

Just received our demo Multitinker, building it up tomorrow.

Anyone taken a cargo bike on Crossrail?
Thinking of getting on with my Bullitt tomorrow to take daughter grandparent visiting. I think I've read somewhere that it's OK but would be good to know its been done.
Do they fit in the lifts? I know Bullitts just fit in German station lifts, which isn't really relevant!

No, but good luck and tell us how it went, i'm intrigued and rooting for you!

I'm not going to do it now - knee played up when riding today. But I will do it one day and report back.
Route is West Ealing to Shenfield, so it needs a change of train in the middle somewhere. -

Just received our demo Multitinker, building it up tomorrow.
Finished it this morning. Really awesome 20" cargo bike, feels very solid and glued to the ground and noticeably less "tinny" than the GSD.
-
• #11093
are you just saying that its heavy? ;)
-
• #11094
Oh yes, at 40kg it's a chunk. But what I mean more specifically is it lacks that "hollow" feel that a lot of alloy ebikes have, especially when going over rough road (the GSD being the closest analog to the Multitinker I have experience with.)

Kid corral & panniers fitted.
Got both the kids on my hands on Friday so will take it for a test spin with its intended cargo. Will try to take some not dogshit photos while I’m at it.

Anyone who hasn't fitted mudflaps to their GSD, do it. Underside was spotless after the run this morning even with all the manky road crud from last night's rain.
Front: Extra Wide
Back: XX Wide

@stevo_com and any Magura 4 pot owners; I just swapped the pads from these to these.
Was SO much easier than the pads with 'ears'. Everytime I had to replace I had to file the ears down. Granted with the other pad type you need retention bolts.

Bonza. Already had it in mind but pad replacement at the recent service has pushed it out.
the bottom bit of the motor, comes off and you can replace, but talk to besbike if they can sort it
