• Anyone up on watches? I have an old fenix but it's huge.

I don't need maps, music or jazzy shit. Just to record outdoor training. Also want to wear it all the time for resting HR and HRV. So smaller and light better.

    was thinking Garmin 245

  • The 255s could be a good option, small, light and with the latest Garmin software bits that the new Fenix units have.

  • The grrl has a Garmin Vivomove Luxe or something like that. BNIB work gift. Probably a bit flash and less practical for you though but she wants rid of it.

Silver stainless steel w/ steel Milanese band. Looks like a 'normal' watch but does Garmin stuff.

I've no idea what it does but she wants to sell it.

  • I have the Fenix 7s solar, my first watch so I can't compare to other brands. It does HRV very well, and has a huge range of activity types so can cover pretty much everything you might want to do. I got the 's' as I have quite small wrists, and I didn't need the extra days battery life from the standard size, especially as it has solar. It's certainly light and small enough not to be annoying.

  • I've been using a 245 for the exact purposes you mention since December, ive been impressed compared to the fitness trackers of c.5 years ago
